Boc is one of the many NPCs with an elaborate questline in Elden Ring. So here’s how you can complete his questline in the game.
Boc is a demi-human in Elden Ring with a knack for tailoring. Whenever you come across this NPC in the game, you can get him to alter certain garments, provided you’ve progressed enough in the quest line.
Boc’s questline is one of the few that has a happy ending associated with it, but other than that, the missions aren’t rewarding enough.
So here’s how you can complete Boc’s questline in Elden Ring.
Here are the steps that you need to finish to complete Boc’s questline in Elden Ring:
When you get to the Agheel Lake North Site of Grace, you’ll come across a talking tree. Hit it with your weapon to release Boc, who will reward you with mushrooms for freeing him.
Head to the Coastal Cave dungeon Site of Grace and talk to Boc.
Head inside the Costal Cave dungeon and defeat the Demi-Human Chiefs to retrieve the Sewing Needle and Tailoring supplies, and then give these to Boc.
Next, meet Boc at the Lake-Facing Cliffs Site of Grace.
Head to the Church of Vows and take the Golden Sewing Needle from a chest inside.
Meet Boc at East Raya Lucaria GateSite of Grace/ Altus Highway JunctionSite of Grace/ East Capital RampartSite of Grace depending upon how where you’ve rested before.
From here, you can perform one of three actions:
You can tell Boc “you’re beautiful” after performing the You’re Beautiful Prattling Pate. From this point onwards, you will be able to use his altering services for free for the rest of the game.
Give him a Larval Tear. He’ll take the tear and head to Rennala, and be born as a human, but he’ll die soon.
You can do nothing, which will move him to the Raya Lucaria Grand Library Site of Grace.
How to get Sewing Needle for the Boc questline in Elden Ring
To get the Sewing Needle for the Boc questline in Elden Ring, you need to go to the Coastal Cave dungeon.
Inside this dungeon, you will come across a lot of Demi-Humans and two Demi-Human Chiefs. Be careful of the lesser enemies because they tend to attack in groups. The boss fights are easy enough if you can time your dodges and parries.
When you defeat the two Demi-Human Chiefs, they’ll drop the Sewing Needle and the other Tailoring supplies which you can then hand over to Boc.
How to get Golden Sewing Needle for the Boc questline in Elden Ring
To find the Golden Sewing Needle, you need to make your way to the Church of Vows in East Liurnia. All you need to do is head inside the church and interact with the chest that you find here.
The Golden Sewing Needle can be found inside the church.
Once you’ve collected the Golden Sewing Needle, take it to Boc and hand it to him. After you’ve done this, Boc will be able to alter any Boss armor piece that you’re carrying.
How to save Boc the Seamster in Elden Ring
If you want to keep Boc the Seamster alive in Elden Ring, do not give him a Larval Tear. If you do so, you will not be able to interact with him once he turns human. Whenever you rest after this, Boc will die.
Instead, take the “You’re Beautiful” Prattling Pate that you find at the Hermit Village in Mount Gelmir and place it in front of him. After you do that, discuss it with him, and he’ll be at your service forever. This is the only way in which you can save Boc the Seamster in Elden Ring.
That sums up everything that you need to know about the Boc the Seamster questline in Elden Ring. For more information about FromSoftware’s popular Soulslike game, be sure to check out the following links:

The quest can now be completed in various ways: Give him a Larval Tear and after a rest, he will make his way to Rennala at the Academy of Raya Lucaria. There he is reborn in human form, but cannot answer you. Rest again and Boc dies.
He'll ask you if it's okay to call you “My Lord” and if you say yes, he'll give you the My Lord gesture, which is one of the best in the game. You can also give him the Gold Sewing Needle here, though you'll need to have a piece of alterable boss clothing such as Radahn's Lion Armour.
If you instead choose the option to give Boc a Larval Tear, he will express his thanks, that he may now be reborn through Rennala. At this point, you must exhaust his dialogue and then reload the area and find he has moved. Note that if you go this route, you will irreversibly doom him to death.
The most cataclysmic of all the endings, and the hardest to acquire, the Lord of the Frenzied Flame, in many ways, sees Rykard's ambitions achieved. Rather than repairing the Elden Ring, or even replacing it, the Frenzied Flame instead burns it all to ash, leaving The Lands Between enwreathed in flames.
There is no questioning that the Wretch provides Elden Ring's most challenging experience by far, particularly in the early game. It continues the tradition of the "Deprived" class from Dark Souls by starting the player as a half-naked warrior with low (albeit balanced) stats and a nigh-useless club.
Is Elden Ring really that hard? While it's probably not FromSoftware's most challenging game, it's by no means a pushover. While Elden Ring's open-world design does make it a little easier to pick your fights, you'll eventually have to face down some daunting enemies.
Should the Tarnished champion aid Boc in fulfilling his wish to be reborn, Boc will travel to the Academy of Raya Lucaria and will be reborn a human through her powers. However, like many of those reborn by Rennala, the process goes awry, and Boc dies shortly thereafter.
You can give him a Larval Tear, and upon resting, he will move next to Rennala. He will be reborn into a human form, and he will not respond when talked to. If you rest again, he will die.
He'll ask you to travel to the Coastal Cave to get his Sewing Needle back from Demi-Human Chieftans. Once you do this and give him the needle (he'll appear beaten up at the entrance to the cave), he'll appear later at the Cliff-Facing Site of Grace in Liurnia and offer his skills to alter your garments for free.
You may attempt to give the Amber Draught to Ranni. Doing so will lock Ranni's questline, and it can only be resumed by seeking Absolution at the Church of Vows. Talking to her three times after trying to give her the draught will cause her to instantly kill you. Seluvis will now be dead.
Julianna Swickard of CBR also debated whether Ranni was good or evil, arriving at the conclusion that while she was morally grey as a character, her ending was the "best possible outcome" of all the game's endings.
Use three Festering Bloody Fingers to invade other players.
Open your inventory, find the Festering Bloody Finger item and then select 'Use'. You should be transported to another Elden Ring player's world shortly after. Return to Varre at the Rose Church and choose to be anointed as a knight of Mohg, Lord of Blood.
You can give him a Larval Tear, and upon resting, he will move next to Rennala. He will be reborn into a human form, and he will not respond when talked to. If you rest again, he will die.
Head through the boss fog door here to defeat the Leonine Misbegotten in this area. Return to Edgar and let him know that you've killed it; this will allow him to finally leave the castle and go to his daughter. Return to where you first found Irina to meet Edgar in his new location.
Melina must be talked to in the Forge of the Giants Grace, and her quest will be fulfilled. If the player has inherited the Frenzied Flame despite Melina pleading them not to do it, Melina will not appear in this grace.
