Centro Camuno di Studi Preistorici (2024)

Edizioni del Centro is the publishing house of CCSP, providing a space for publishing and information dissemination for scholars and researchers, both in Italy and abroad.

BCSP, our international periodical of prehistoric and tribal art, bears witness to forty years of progress in research, publishing articles, research reports and accounts of recent discoveries from around the world. The analytical indexes in volumes 15 and 30 (compiled by geographic location, author, themes and content) make BCSP a small encyclopedia, growing by one volume each year. Each text is published in a language of the author’s choice among Italian, French, or English, and is followed by a summary in English and Italian.

The “Archivi” series, in large format, hosts volumes with in-depth thematic features on a specific theme of rock art and other expressions of the intellectual life of prehistoric communities. This series comprehends monographs and integral corpuses of rock localities.

The “Studi Camuni” series is composed of essays on prehistoric art and archaeology. This collection, which concerns the philosophy and results of the study of ancient cultures, is based on the analysis of rock art and other research methods.

The list of our publications is completed by the proceedings of the Valcamonica Symposia and other congresses, by Guidebooks and Exhibition Catalogs, but also by a few publications dedicated to the general public.

The electronic version of the BCSPs and BCNs, but also partially of the Valcamonica Symposia proceedings and of the “Studi Camuni” series was created as part of the project “Digital Library of Valcamonica rock art,” with the support of the Region Lombardy (LR 81/1985).
